EFH Broadband Blog - House Rules

|

The aim of the EFH Broadband blog is to help you get the most out of your broadband internet connection. We'll provide advice and guidance on all things related to broadband and the internet. The editorial team will be writing about a range of subjects from gaming, music and gadgets through to online shopping and travel.

But what's really going to make this blog work is your feedback, experiences and fun tips to help others. We want you to leave your comments and trackbacks, because ultimately it's your opinion that matters.

Like many other blogs we have house rules. These are for two reasons; first so that we do not publish illegal or offensive material; and second to make sure our blog is useful to you and other readers. Our rules are our own, but they are partly inspired by the house rules of some of the blogs we admire such as Direct2Dell, GM Fastlane, BA Openskies and the BT Broadband blog.

This blog isn't a support forum - if you are looking for technical support, please email our support team at
support@efhbroadband.com or call 0808 156 4776.

The team writing this blog would be delighted to hear new interesting stories that you think might be relevant to our readers (enthusiastic and power users of broadband). We'd welcome any new products to test, and if we think they are worth it, we will review them on the blog, please feel free to contact a member of the team.

Comments and trackbacks

The EFH Broadband is all about encouraging conversation, so we welcome your comments and trackbacks (where you write about one of our posts on your blog and you can get a link back to your post from our blog).

However we do ask you to be polite (imagine you're having tea at your parents, rather than down the pub with your mates). Please be civil as we won't tolerate any comments or trackbacks which:

  • We consider to be spam, advertising or which are completely unrelated to the article against which they are posted
  • Are considered likely to provoke, attack or offend others
  • Are racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or otherwise objectionable
  • Contain swear words or other language likely to offend
  • Break the law, condone or encourage unlawful activity or which could endanger the safety or well-being of others
  • Impersonate somebody else
  • Contain or link to pornography and sexually explicit content
  • Contain text and images likely to offend most people
  • Link to hate sites (on grounds of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation)
  • Contain or link to gratuitous violence
  • Link to breaches of copyright law or encourage others to do so (e.g. peer-to-peer music sites, illegal downloads of software and games, etc.)
  • Contain links to or content that might defamate or be contempt of court
  • Contain links to or condone hacking or other technical disruption to online services
  • Describe how to conduct an unlawful act (e.g. bomb-making, fraud etc)
  • That could damage the reputation of a person or organisation, that risk prejudicing on-going or forthcoming court proceedings
  • That could place EFH Broadband in contravention of its legal and/or regulatory obligations

We will remove (or in some cases edit) comments that break these rules.

Please make your comments relevant to the topic of the post. In exceptional cases we may get a high volume of similar comments on a post. In these cases we may close comments for that post, adding a note letting you know that further comments have been received but not published.

By submitting your comments to this site, you warrant that such comments are not defamatory nor infringe any law. You agree to indemnify EFH Broadband against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by us as a result of your breach of the above warranty.

Trackbacks and links will be published unless the page they link to breaches the house rules above.

The fact that a link appears on this blog does not mean that EFH Broadband in any way endorses the content of that website and is not responsible for its content or actions.
